You witnessed an intimate and powerful family moment unfold in the most recent episode of The Kardashians. Khloé Kardashian once again demonstrated her deep commitment to family as she celebrated a milestone for Amari Thompson, her ex Tristan Thompson’s younger brother. Amari recently turned 18, and Khloé hosted a heartwarming birthday party at her home.
The occasion was more than just a celebration—it was a profound reminder of resilience, compassion, and how love can build unbreakable bonds in even the most challenging circumstances. Amari, who suffers from the most severe form of epilepsy, was seen surrounded by warmth, gifts, and the unshakable support of the Kardashian family. Over the course of the episode, Khloé shared details of her relationship with Amari and the deep impact he’s had on her and her children.
This bond grew even stronger after both Tristan and Amari briefly moved in with her while Tristan’s home underwent renovations due to water damage. For Khloé, it wasn’t an obligation. It was an act of love that came naturally. “Every day we have with him is a blessing,” she said, reflecting on what Amari means to her.
You see Khloé not only making Amari feel celebrated but also cared for in a way that leaves a lasting impression on everyone around her. Her mom, Kris Jenner, expressed how deeply touched she is by her daughter’s dedication. “Khloé truly is such a big part of Amari’s life and I think it’s so incredibly impressive how she takes care of him.
She’s literally a gift from God, and so is Amari,” Kris said through tears. Her words underscore the emotional weight of the moment and the special connection the entire family feels toward Amari. The episode highlighted how Khloé is intentionally raising her children to understand and embrace people with different needs.
“My kids, they’re much more exposed to Amari than some of the other kids,” she explained. Her daughter True is more curious than afraid, showing a level of empathy that clearly mirrors her mother’s example. Khloé believes it’s essential for children to be around all kinds of people, especially those living with disabilities. It helps nurture compassion and normalize experiences that are often misunderstood.
Kim Kardashian also chimed in, reinforcing this message of inclusion. “We love to celebrate every member of the family. I love our kids growing up around him and helping him,” she shared. During the party, Kim was seen speaking to her daughter Chicago and a friend, gently guiding them through their curiosity. “There’s no need to be [scared], but it’s okay if you are,” she told them.
In her confessional, she added, “They have lots of questions and at times they may not be the most comfortable. But I think it’s important they play with him and they really get to know him.” As the birthday festivities continued, Amari experienced what the production team referred to as a “brief seizure.” It happened while he was seated next to Khloé and Kris.
The moment visibly shook Kris, who had never witnessed one of his seizures before. She began to cry, overwhelmed by the experience. Khloé, however, remained composed, quickly assuring her mom that everything was okay. She explained that she’s familiar with Amari’s seizures and knows how to respond calmly. “I know how to stay calm, I’m around Amari a lot, he has multiple seizures a day. I know what to do in those situations. It can be very scary and it’s a very helpless feeling,” Khloé shared.
Kris later admitted that watching the seizure made her feel completely powerless. Her vulnerability opened the door for a tender mother-daughter moment. She told Khloé how proud she is of her and the strength she’s shown. “You’ve handled this whole situation and how you’ve just embraced this and been so brave,” Kris said. She even joked that one day Khloé might take care of her the same way she does Amari. “At least you know I’ll never put you in a home,” Khloé replied with a smile, softening the heavy moment with humor and love.
In a previous episode, Khloé revealed that Amari’s mother, Andrea, had been his sole caregiver before she passed away. Following her death, Tristan took on legal guardianship of his younger brother. That loss added a new level of urgency and care to the way Khloé and her family support Amari today. She continues to step in not out of obligation, but because of her deep affection and sense of responsibility.
Each week, The Kardashians offers a glimpse into their lives, but this episode gave you something more—a sincere and emotional look at what family can mean when tested by real-life challenges. It’s not about the glitz, but about choosing love, care, and presence in the moments that matter most.
