Late on Friday, a significant law enforcement operation took place within the vicinity of Nancy Guthrie's home in Tucson. The scene saw more than a dozen vehicles from various departments, such as the SWAT and forensics teams, gather in force. The convened area was about two miles away from Guthrie's residence.

Operations like these usually result in the surrounding areas being shut down temporarily due to safety concerns, and this time was no exception. Local roads were closed off for about four hours as the law enforcement professionals carried out their tasks. After that time, things got back to normal somewhat when the roads were reopened to the public.

Officials completed their operations at the scene and eventually cleared it, signalling the end of their activity. During this process, eyewitnesses reported seeing the law enforcement officials conducting their duties.

While details about what prompted the operation remain unclear, it is known that initially, three individuals were detained and a vehicle was towed from the scene. More information is expected as the investigation continues.
