You now see Melanie “Mel B” Brown begin a beautiful new chapter in her life. The Spice Girls icon, 50, officially tied the knot with hairstylist Rory McPhee on Saturday, July 5. Their wedding took place in The Crypt at the historic St. Paul’s Cathedral, marking a deeply meaningful moment for the couple.

For the ceremony, Mel B wore a custom ivory gown designed by Josephine Scott. Later, she changed into a dress by Justin Alexander. Caroline Black, owner of Evelie Bridal Boutiques, assisted her with the selections. “Mel was a dream to work with, bringing her own sense of style to the occasion,” Black shared with PEOPLE after the event.
After exchanging vows, the newlyweds hosted a reception at the Shangri-La Hotel inside The Shard. The luxurious venue, located in the United Kingdom’s tallest building, welcomed many familiar faces. Among the guests were Emma Bunton, Cara Delevingne, Katherine Ryan, and Daisy Lowe. The guest list reflected Mel B’s broad and lasting friendships.
Mel B’s daughters stood by her side as bridesmaids throughout the ceremony. Her eldest, Phoenix, 26, is from her marriage to Jimmy Gulzar. Angel Iris, 18, is the daughter she shares with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy. Her youngest, Madison, 13, is from her former marriage to Stephen Belafonte. All three proudly joined her on her special day.

Mel B’s MBE honor allowed her to marry at St. Paul’s Cathedral, a venue typically reserved for distinguished individuals. She received the award in 2022 from Prince William for her work raising awareness around domestic violence. On The Tonight Show, she said, “You have to be kind of special,” reflecting on the venue’s significance.
Just weeks before the wedding, Mel B celebrated her bachelorette party surrounded by 36 close friends. Wearing a leopard-print bikini, she ran down a dock toward her group in an Instagram video. The women, dressed in matching animal-print swimsuits, performed a choreographed dance to Beyoncé’s “End of Time.” It was full of joy and personality.
Mel B revealed that McPhee proposed during a romantic getaway to Berkshire in 2022 after three years together. “He said, ‘I love you, you’re my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with you,’” she recalled. Their evening included rose petals, a log fire, and a room at the Cliveden hotel.

After two difficult marriages, Mel B once believed she would never marry again. Her focus had shifted to raising her children and working. “I’m never going to get married again. Never, never, never,” she told PEOPLE in March 2024. She was content with life as it was, certain love no longer had a place.
Eventually, her outlook changed. “Never can say never, can you?” she admitted. With McPhee, things felt different from the beginning. “I’ve got this opportunity to be properly in love with a really good guy,” she said. He had known her long before her fame and accepts her entirely for who she truly is.
